Act of God

Truth

A hunger for truth has always followed you. You have felt it more acutely depending on your age. You might have looked for it in books or people. Other successful people. Whatever success meant to you.

What exactly constitutes truth? Perhaps when you had to make a decision and saw the tradeoffs. You weren’t sure of yourself. Who is the best mind here? Who do you admire? What would he do? What is the critical consensus? What do experts say? You wanted the ground to be stable beneath you.

You thought that the more information you have, more closer to the truth you would be.

What was truth?

Rules derived from facts?

Though sooner or later you realise that the only time you had felt truly “alive” is when you had your preconceptions shattered. That your loyalty to your questions blinded you. That answers always bored you, and what you secretly hope for is more questions. Possibilities thrill you more than plausibility.
